State Team Nominations Schedule

Canoe Polo State Team Nominations 

Welcome to the page which gives you access to information about nominating for a South Australian Canoe Polo Team
 
In 2013 the Australian Canoe Polo Championships will be held over the long weekend in March.
Dates for Competition are:
Saturday 9th to Monday 11th March

Nominations for Officials

Nominations close on 23 November 2012
Officials include:
State Team Manager, Coaches (or assistant coaches) for all categories, Selectors (a minimum of 3 selectors for each category), Junior Team Co-ordinator
All officials are required to sign an agreement form and provide a National Police Certificate (see below)

Nominations for players

Nominations close (24 November 2012 and must be accompanied by a $50.00 nomination fee as per the selection policy)
Nominations for players will be received up to Sat 1 December. Nomination for players received after closing date must be accompanied by a $20.00 late nomination fee. (Total fee payable - $70.00)
 
Categories:
Open - any player may nominate for this category, no restriction on age
Open Women - any female player, no restriction on age
Junior - any player under the age of 18 on 01 January 2013
Youth - any player under the age of 21 on 01 January 2013
Veterans - any player over the age of 35 on 01 January 2013
Masters - any player over the age of 45 on 01 January 2013

 Training
Training usually commences in November, Coaches usually will consult with players nominating about a suitable time for training.
Please note: Applicants for selection are required to attend and participate in all training sessions organised by the coach. Where a player is to be absent from a training session, the player must inform the coach by phone and follow up with their reason for their absence in writing. If you are injured you may still be required to attend a training session to assist the coach or for team discussion on tactics & etc.
 
 Travel
 
Travel to and from the competition venue is the responsibility of the player to arrange.
 
 
Team Fees
 
Team fees are set by the Canoe SA Polo Technical Committee.
 
Uniform
 
All state team representatives are required to wear a state team t-shirt at medal presentation ceremonies. State Team t-shirt can be purchased from Canoe SA or the State Team Manager for $50.00 prior to departure. If you have been selected please ensure that you have a state team t-shirt (either purchase or borrow from a previous team member)
 
Invoice for costs associated with State Team
 
Each selected player will receive an invoice for costs associated with the Championship ( accommodation, team fees, & etc), where possible, about 4 weeks prior to departure. Players are required to pay the account prior to the championship

National Police Certificate - all officials and volunteers are required to complete an application and return it to Canoe SA for insertion of the VOAN (Volunteer Organisation Activity Number) (this means you don't have to pay for it as you are a volunteer with Canoe SA) The NPC is to be provided to the Secretary of the Canoe SA Polo Technical Committee (upon receipt, the information is to be kept confidential, and is returned to the individual at the completion of the Championships)
